I still have flowers! Lots of them! I think it is quite appropriate that my late-autumn blooms are lovely autumn colours, too.
Would you like to play a game? Two of these shots were taken on iDJ’s iPhone 4s (by himself) the rest on my iPhone 3s (by me). Which two?
Rudbeckia (black-eyed-Susan), anyone?
Whoops! A little wonky, let’s try another.
Whoops, a little blurry! Oh well.
A bloom size comparison between the Galliardia and the rudbeckia.
What is possibly going to be my last sunflower of the year. We will see, the first plant had buds all the way down the stem.
There’s the goddamn carrot pic I was looking for! Yummy 🙂
These things are still going, the former mystery plant now identified as Mimulus.
Just to be contrary, my last photo isn’t shades of orange and red, but of a pink Tigrida – yes, these are still blooming, too! Not as prolific these days, but I’m well impressed with these guys.
I saw all of these in your garden the other night… Alright I didn’t lol
I don’t know which ones were taken by a different phone, they all seem the same to me. Maybe the tomato might be a little different, but I think it’s just because the lighting was different there. And the carrot is by you, or someone has very feminine hands lol
Well, they aren’t HAIRY hands, but to be honest, neither are iDJ’s! Don’t think anyone has called them feminine before… Especially with the spider tattoo 🙂
You did see some! The ones in the first pic are the ones that were right behind me outside.
I’m going to have to see if anyone else comments on my little game before I say anything about who took what photo! 🙂
Oh, is it a spider? It doesn’t show well on the picture, I thought it was an infinity symbol or something. Well, that hand might not be from a dish soap commercial, but it has feminine features to me.
Yes, keep the game running before you tell us. But as for my entry, I’ll say the red sunflower and the tomato (well, actually tomatoes, but since only one has matured to red). I’m extremely sorry if I am wrong. And I’ll wait until the end of the game to say what were my clues.
It doesn’t show well because I did it myself 27 years ago 🙂 Just a titch blurry after all this time (and homemade tattoos never look that good).
Okay keeping the voting open!
I think I waited long enough, nobody’s going to vote anymore 🙂
Your Susans are so much classier than mine. Here they go for numbers and not showines of bloom.
I’ve got the numbers, they are just all in pots. I suppose it would be overwhelming to have a field-full.
Sorry, on the ipad it’s too difficult to compare photos – they’re all great proof of a late and glorious flowering.
Ah, poo! I post using my iPad, I thought they were big enough!
It’s not the size, it’s working out which image is which and the scrolling did my head in!
Beautiful flowers!
Thank you!
As the heat abated here, everything in my yard bloomed again. The bees are visiting every day again and even my flowering pear tree bloomed! It’s like spring again… 90 during the day, 60s at night…
I sure wish I had nice flowers like yourself… perhaps I should trade you bloom posts?
I’m always happy to see flower pics! I don’t know where you are in the world, but 90’s during the day sounds a bit TOO warm! I had to come inside at about 9:30pm as it was only 8C – around 45F. I could see my breath… I don’t think I’ll have too many more new blooms 😦
Photo 1 and 8!
I give my tongue to the cat. How did you find out about no. 1?
I don’t know. It was a bit of a guess actually. 🙂
Hahaha! Tom, I’m sorry to say that you have lost, with a 50% correct ratio!
However, Ms Lidia (no longer Ms D) has WON! I have no prize. I can send you a hi-def email of your favourite pic if you like?
Oh it’s okay. I would have felt bad if 8 (red sunflower) was wrong.
Any clue as to how I found that one?
Hey it’s Friday, why don’t you come on Skype so I tell you?
