Cat-People Problems

I was sitting in my usual indoor place last night: on the floor in front of the fire. I am the cat’s favourite place to nap, so of course I ended up with both of them on my legs.

This was fine, for a while.

Until I had to pee.

I really didn’t want to wake them up. As you do.

So I slipped out of my sweatpants (and booties) and left them there while I went upstairs to do the necessary.

Total success. I even managed to get back into my sweats again without either cat leaving.

Spoiled? Nahhhhhhh.

  1. You should have marked this as PG-13 ๐Ÿ˜›

You spoil them too much. Tigra sleeps on me all the time, but she let’s me do my business, and patiently waits for my return to continue her nap.

  2. My equivalent is having to a) try and use my wacom pen UNDER Mojo, as he likes to sit with his butt on the left side of my drawing tablet (he likes to retain creative control of his images, you understand) or b) sleeping in a post reading, semi-upright position with half my clothes still on until he decides it’s time to go and bother Brian….The things we do for cats.

  3. That’s exactly how I’m sitting now (only in my case my right hand is also taken, so I have to type with my left hand only), and I want to go and warm up some red wine for me. So, thanks for the idea! ๐Ÿ˜‰

            • Yeah, a real one, it was quick but felt quite strong. The earthquake monitor says it was only 2.1, but it was close, in the sea. I wasn’t terrified, I have to admit, I’m a freak as I like them. ๐Ÿ™‚

            • I’ve never witnessed a tornado, so that’s probably my “wet the pants situation”. ๐Ÿ™‚ But I’m used to little earthquakes, although locals are scared of them. They still remember the deadly one which happened in 1979. I find the little earthquakes fun, a little bit like being on a roller coaster.

            • The cats don’t care much. This time some things started jingling in the cupboard and that got their attentions, but they usually don’t mind the actual shaking of the ground. A big one can always happen, they are unpredictable, but that’s the reality of life here on this territory. A little earthquake doesn’t grow into a big one. The first shake of an earthquake is the maximum this particular earthquake will get. So when I feel the first push, I just sit and keep enjoying the rest of the wave. It’s interesting. I can’t help it. I know it’s stupid and I should be more serious about it, but I just find it so fascinating that the Earth can do a thing like that.

Now, you can see both of my hands are free, so I typed that much ๐Ÿ™‚

            • Hahah! There must have been some important Kitty Business that needed attending to.

That makes it different – if you know right away that is the worst it will be, well! There is nothing you can do about it so may as well enjoy it. Like turbulence on a plane, or a bad lighting storm.

  4. This is so cute! I wish my cats were at the sleeping-up-against-each-other stage. For now though they’ll sleep about a foot apart (even better when we can throw the third cat in there when she comes inside).

That is just the best. What’s better than a cat? Two kitties!

    • What’s better than two kitties? FOUR! Never have animals in odd numbers if possible, actually – two will gang up on another. See, now you can get a fourth one!
Whenever we have couch-time, I get all the cats. Hubby always says, “how come I don’t get any cats?”
So I said recently, ‘Lets get two more!’
“No, then you’ll have four cats and I still won’t have any”
I could only laugh because we both know it is true ๐Ÿ™‚
