Hi there all you lovely people!
I rarely do this. But tomorrow is my dearest’s 40th, and tonight is his last Internet radio show as a 30-something! Please come and listen? High listener rates will thrill him to bits, and who wouldn’t want to be thrilled to bits?
If you’re on Facebook you can follow his show “Soul Shenanigans“. That’s good fun as he makes a new poster every week! Look at this week’s:
That’s him, cute and blonde even then.
Otherwise, visit here: Radio23.org or errorfm.com.
He’ll be on Channel A, in just about an hour. He’s interactive, too, so you can send him a happy birthday message or tell him he’s an old, out-of-touch fart and to get off your digital airwaves, if you like.
I’m hoping for the former!
EDIT: show is over but available via podcast!
OK, I sent an email–hope it worked!
I don’t think he got it 😦 Where did you send to?
ruh-roh… i only found the general @gmail address…. erk! happy day anyway!
What kind of stuff does he play?
I can’t answer that. He loves everything. You will be educated and surprised.
Aww, I’m a bit sad. 8 people had a look, and only one tried the link. This social media thing is hard, even when you do it out of love.
Okay, I’m on there now listening. Is his name Lorenzo?
Nope, you’ve missed him! He’s soul shenanigans. It’s so hard with the time difference!
Crap!! I was enjoying it. I’ll try to find him another time then. Happy Birthday to your honey! 🙂
It’s a great station, even if you missed my Irish hubby with his put-on southern American accent 🙂
🙂 I think I’ll tune in just for that!
I’ll post the link to his podcast then 🙂 He always says “y’all” and it kills me!
Yeah!
It’s pretty funny, to me. I have such a non-regional accent people here ask me if I’m Canadian. But I grew up in NW Florida, and THAT is what hubby focuses on. He’s a redneck at heart I think – wants a pickup with a shotgun rack, or a jacked up Camaro, and and a passel of huntin’ dawgs, and to listen to 1950’s country while crying into his Miller Lite. (He doesn’t have it all down pat, yet)
🙂 I’m in Florida and get in plenty of y’alls. Tell him he also needs high tires so he can go muddin’, pick a better beer, and invest in a fan-boat so he can go and catch himself a gator! It’s funny – I’m sure he finds you just as exotic as you must find him, huh? How did you two find each other?
Ran outta room to reply! We met on the Internet 🙂
🙂 Nice! That’s so neat when two people from far away hit it off. There used to be so much space on the map between you two and now there isn’t. I’m slap happy from lack of sleep…
So sorry to get to this post too late 😦 Hope iDJ’s 40th went very well and he got loads of listeners.
show is over but available via podcast! http://soulshenanigans.podomatic.com/entry/2013-02-21T18_55_32-08_00
I see van Halen in the list, so I HAVE to listen. Sorry I’m way too late. 😦
Hahaha! I have that VH cd is the car, on repeat 🙂 VH is MY kinda music! As you can see, hubby is into EVERYTHING.
My dad loved Van Halen! I don’t know all of their songs, but ‘Jump’ always gets me going. 🙂
And I love that song of them that starts with ‘sugar and spice, little girls are made of everything nice’ or something close to that.
I have a scar on my foot due to me Jumping around after listening to Jump! I was 13 in 1984, perfect age!
Aaah, must have been great– except for the scar!
