I thought I’d post a quick one, of the flowers my hubby brought me on Saturday, for our seventh wedding anniversary on Sunday.
Anyone know what the big daisy-like ones are? I haven’t bothered to Google them yet, but am tending toward Gerber Daisies, without having any idea of what those really are… they are our favourites out of the bouquet.
They still look and smell good nearly a week later!
Please note I cut the stamens out of my lilies so they won’t drip pollen on the cats 🙂 The flowers themselves are well out of reach of Bad Cats.

I growed up inna liddle place y’all mighta heered of – called LA. Yep, Lower Alabama.
We have very similar climates – lots of rain, moss and crap growing all over… maybe they can survive inside?

I know – I love giving people my parents address – no house number, no road name, no post code. Just a name in an area. They mostly think I’m joking. I think gerbera too and well done on disarming lillies – though I think that even water that lillies have been in or the leaves or anything is pretty deadly. I used to buy them all the time until I found out.

I know, I know. No zip code! It was Sunset Western Garden Guide, as in Western US, not Western Ireland! But what’s your latitude? Ours is 49 degrees north, so maybe you’re similar? Extrapolation, my dear!

Ha! Smart-ass, maybe, never wise-ass! Kidding my dear. We are about 53N, so even higher! But we have the Gulf Stream slamming into us, so in general less ice, more rain. I was being smart-ass myself about how so many websites still assume EVERYONE lives in the US 🙂

Thanks! It’s only Spot who feels the need to eat greenery. But these are safe on our mantle – its only about 8″ wide and covered in stuff so no room for him to attempt a perch. Neither of the boys are jumpers and knockers-down of things (I need more coffee, did that even make sense?) so I feel safe as long as the flowers don’t drop anything on the floor.
