It’s a strange old night, I feel a bit at loose ends. I’m not able to settle and do anything productive. It seems I’m seeking the new…
So I opened one of the camera apps iDJ put on my iPad. Now, I’ve said a bunch of times that the camera on here is crap. My intentions were to take some random, abstract, crap pictures and mess around with their settings. Sort of like this one I took of my own face, which is my Facebook avatar:
I didn’t get very far before losing interest, though. I opened ‘camera boost’ to see what it does, and went straight to the night photography setting. Ooo, shiny smeary lights. These are of the fire I’m warming myself by:
Meh, right? I might screw with the colours and see what happens.
I also thought trying to get the dog in motion might be interesting.
The only reason I kept these two is that her curly tail turned into a full circle as she spun around.
I think this one is funny. She has four front legs… this is her game she plays with my feet. She slaps her legs on the floor and flops them around trying to catch me. That’s my green socked foot.
The first fire pic, mucked around with. It’s still ‘meh.’
Maybe I should read a book…
arrrgggh! Help me decide, Spiders, about buying an iPad for my trip! A protective cover… yikes! under 4 weeks and I’d better decide. If I DON’T get the iPad, the only thing I can’t figure out is how to work with the digital camera and cyber cafes. sigh….
I’m with you–meh to those weird apps. Don’t we all have a hard enough time as it is taking pics?? To think that someone sat around and invented a way to screw up the subjects!
Neko looks cutie there with her 360-degree tail! Not meh, definitely!
I have a front cover, called the smart cover from Apple. It has an inner liner that cleans the screen, and it holds on by magnet on the left side, and turns off the ipad when closed, and it accordion folds so it can be propped up for Skype, or I suppose for any front-cam video. I’m not sure about it, I kept it folded I half and the outside got a bit dirty, on just half. Hubby says he’d get it for himself if he had an iPad. The back cover is The Cover Buddy ultraclear, and I think it’s essential. We got it from Switcheasy.com. There are tons of other options, I’m sure! I use the WordPress app to blog, it works better than logging in via Safari. But if you are going to get one, do it soon so you have time to play with it before the trip 🙂 Oh! I also have a little tiny tiny gizmo that I can put my ‘real’ camera’s memory card into and nearly instantly upload good photos. Well worth the purchase!
Thank you, girl! I know–I have to decide soon!! I did spend about an hour in the Apple Store eavesdropping on the iPad workshop plus I played with an iPad a bit.
Glad to hear that the wordpress app works well. I know what you’re talking about with that gizmo for photos. Do you think the Apple cover will protect for travel? My brain is spinning around a bit…
Check. Cover buddy. Will go look. thank you thank you!
I have to work through my brain and find out whether I’d feel tethered to electronics … I do plan to relax and faht around a lot!
Hmm. I just closed the cover, and held it face-down..it fell open. So, not the best in a big handbag, etc. Hubby loves the iSkin brand, it just costs too much to ship over here so he didn’t buy it for the iPad. I’ve had a two issues with the WordPress app, but deleting it and reinstalling from the iTunes store recovered all my data and solved the problem.
GO TO BED, you maniac!
But thank you again for more info. I was just looking at a folio case, which might protect better in a bag…. >:-D
I’m going. Hubby chased me away with truly stupid TV. My complaining didn’t seem to make a dent, but my giving a goodnight kiss did. A dent in his head! Ahahah. Not really. Best of luck with the shopping!
