Sorry ’bout that…

I was attempting to get into Google searches with that last post. I’m not getting the sales job I interviewed for, the other job is still up in the air, my dole appeal status is ‘some time will elapse before the Appeals Office is in a position to look at your case’, there is nothing in the papers, and our financial situation has hit rock bottom. Anything that gets me out there to earn a little bit…

  1. I say Go for it.!
Have you thought about starting a separate blog for your illustration business? I have a totally separate (much neglected) one for Tranquil Space. And put plenty of tags on. That’s what Google seems to respond to, i think.

  2. Hey! Just some info about tags and search engines.

I guess google doesn’t care how many tags per post you use, but wordpress does. I’m not sure if you need wordpress tags work for you, but they do bring some readers. Here’s the system on wordpress – it blocks you from its ( wordpress’) searches if you have more than ten tags + categories altogether. When you use more than 10 tags and categories ( not separately but counted together per one post) then it will ban you from showing on the global tags’ page.

Now about the search engines. The thing that seems to be working for me is not the tags so much as that “alt” text you can provide for each image. Do you know what I mean? When you upload an image and do it in HTML you can see that your image looks not like a picture but like a line, a code, and there are letters alt “”. Between those “” you can insert the text, describing what is in that picture and that text gets “noticed” by google.

    Hope it helps!
